How to Measure a Favorite Hoodie Before Ordering Another

A size label is a starting point, not a complete fit description. Measuring a hoodie you already like can give you useful reference points when comparing another garment.
Start with the seller’s measurement method
Read the item’s size chart and check whether its numbers describe the body or the garment. Follow the chart’s instructions for measurement locations; do not compare a body circumference directly with a flat garment width.
Lay your favorite hoodie flat without stretching it. Record the measurements the seller uses, which may include chest width, body length, and sleeve length. Note where you measured so you can repeat it.
Think about how you wear it
Does your current hoodie fit over a tee, a thicker layer, or nothing bulky? Consider whether you want the same amount of room. A cropped style and a relaxed pullover can have different proportions even when their size labels match.
Read the specific product details and ask the seller about missing information. Fabric names alone do not establish how a garment will fit.
Keep a small fit note
Save your measurements and the fit you liked. Check them again when comparing a different blank or style.
Before ordering from Don’t Be a Bump, use the current product options and available sizing information. If the chart is unclear, ask before buying. Choosing deliberately is more useful than assuming your usual letter size means the same thing everywhere.
