Ten Lacrosse Clothing and Packing Essentials
Updated: 1 day ago
Build a useful lacrosse bag without confusing everyday clothing with protective equipment. The following list is a packing aid. Your game format, age division, role and program requirements determine the actual protective-equipment list.
Ten items to consider
1. The team’s required uniform pieces.
2. A comfortable tee for travel or changing afterward.
3. A suitable long-sleeve layer for the conditions.
4. A sideline hoodie when useful.
5. Spare dry socks appropriate to the activity.
6. Footwear suited to the approved surface.
7. A change of clothes for the trip home.
8. A labeled water bottle and refill plan.
9. A bag that keeps essentials easy to find.
10. The program’s equipment checklist and necessary contact information.
Some items are already in the closet. Buying more is not a requirement for belonging on the team.
Protective equipment stays separate
Use USA Lacrosse’s official equipment requirements and your program’s guidance. Ordinary sunglasses or visors are not substitutes for approved protection. Do not cut thumb holes in protective gloves, remove padding or modify a helmet for comfort. Ask an equipment specialist about fit or replacement instead.
Choose apparel by actual use
Don’t Be a Bump offers lifestyle apparel for everyday wear, travel and sidelines. Compare specific product measurements and use the garment’s care label. A hoodie is not certified protective equipment and does not guarantee cold-weather safety.
Read our apparel comparison before buying and the beginner checklist before the first practice. Be Active starts with participation and preparation, not an expensive wardrobe.
